Robben Ford will present a master class on guitar and music
theory for
beginning and intermediate level musicians on Saturday, June 23rd. The
class will focus on the basic building blocks of music theory, chord
progressions, the use of voicings, listening and improvisation. There will
be an emphasis on the importance of the blues in building a strong musical
foundation, as well as the understanding and usage of advanced harmony to
add dimension to simple music forms and chord progressions. The guitar will
be featured, but beginning and mid-level students of any instrument would
benefit from this class.
The class is limited to the first twenty-five people to register.
Books, teaching videos, and CDs will be available for purchase.
Hand-held audio recording devices will be permitted in the
class.
The first twenty five students to send their registration and
payment will be admitted.

10 AM-12:30
12:30-1:30 LUNCH
1:30-4 PM
WHERE: The Women's Center, 441 East Ojai Avenue, Ojai, CA.
(1 and 1/2 hour drive north of Los Angeles)
FEE: $180.00, paid in advance
